Alice MacLeod (Carly McKillip) is a snarky self-obsessed teenage in Smithers, British Columbia. Her father (Dan Payne) is an absent-minded hippie. Her mommy-knows-best (Rebecca Northan) is also a hippie. Her younger brother Mac is the smartest of them all.
This is a sweet nice quirky sitcom. I guess some people complain that it doesn't match the books. Having never seen the books, I can't talk to that part. All I know is that I like this loving family. I'm sorry it lasted only 13 episodes. I like that Alice is often wrong. There are a lot of crazy side characters and a few hilarious moments. It all adds up to an enjoyable traditional family sitcom. Best of all, the love is never wrong and they always find a way.
