Surprisingly not terrible, but I wouldn't call it great either. Most of the story is very generic and exactly what you'd expect from a movie like this, but with just oh so slightly more effort put into it. The best part of the film by a landslide was the comedy, but about half of it was nods to brony (adult MLP fans) in-jokes and the like anyway.
In conclusion, bronies will probably enjoy the movie at least a little (We've certainly had to put up with worse *looks at Mare-Do-Well*), your daughter will probably have fun and would be better off seeing this than a Barbie/Bratz/e.c.t. high school movie, and everyone else should stay far away from this one, or at least watch the first 3 seasons of the show (Friendship is Magic) first.
