conspiracy? no....

Warning: Spoilers
I could not believe myself watching this movie in Chinese New Year holiday. Unfortunately most of the story and scenes were I had already seen before but it lightened my heart after 2 hours watching. When I first made Noam Chomsky's acquaintance, his analysis on propaganda model and manufacturing consent was fascinating enough to capturing my heart immediately. It started like conspiracy theory but it was a institutional analysis. He confronted major social control mechanism and caused public alarm. It left satisfying feelings to me that I had found one more public intellectual of our generation. But at the same time I was quite wonder, if so, he could not find any capacity of ordinary citizens in framing process then he might just leave public be manipulated by power filters. Luckiley this movie introduced some citizen who raised their own voices with hope for the social justice and change such as Z magazine, South end press, community radio, alternative channels. I could find the possibilities and visions how things could be better at the end of this movie. And I believe this is what the director and the author wanted to tell us at last.
