Before writing this review i just want to say one thing to Suriya haters. You can write bad reviews and put low rating points for this movie.. but u can never stop the movie from being a blockbuster! you all now know the result! this movie collected many many awards for all categories..this is one of Suriya's top 5 movies! and it was remade in Hindi by the legendary Aamir Khan. that movie also broke all records in collection!
Coming to the movie.. People call this a copy from the movie Memento! i don't think so.. its just an inspiration. they have just inspired the concept of Short Term Memory Loss and the struggles of the hero. other than that, the plot, story is entirely different.. better learn the difference between remake and inspiration!
Cast: Suriya- the most romantic hero of Tamil cinema has done lots of justice to the movie. he is charming as Sanjay and Ferocious as the memory loss patient! his expressions, aggression, romance, dance,etc,etc truly shows his potential as one of the best actors in Tamil cinema! Asin- Should be and always be the best movie she has done in Tamil. lots of scope for her as an actor and she has done a perfect job! her character as Kalpana was really superb and touching! Nayanthara- she has done a pretty good job and her acting shud definitely be appreciated. she has a long way to go! Pradeep Rawat- as a villain, he has done a terrific job! Riyaz Khan- tough his character is short-timed, he has done a perfect job as a police officer. Sathyan and manobala- both these characters make us really entertained on the screen.
Music: 5/5 for the songs and BGM.. the music and songs were blockbuster hits and were the favourites among the youth for many years. till now many have the songs as their ring-tones. Hats of Harris :)
Direction: Truly a masterpiece from A.R. Murugadoss.. excellent screenplay, story and direction! he has chosen the right script, the right cast, the right technicians. what else can you expect? a true masterpiece and a perfect dedication to Tamil cinema
Verdict- a evergreen movie of Suriya from Murugadoss.Haters will be there.Haters are there for every movie.but they r just considered as barking dogs! One of the best of Suriya movies and is recommended to watch many times , even get a original blue-ray DVD as a collection! this movie deserves it:) 10/10 for the movie
