Unsatisfying pasta dish

Warning: Spoilers
In recent years, the spaghetti western has kind of made a comeback, at least among American DVD companies. A number of DVD companies are digging up obscure spaghetti westerns, but if they keep digging up sub par efforts like "The Federal Man", I think the demand for spaghetti westerns will die out. Not everything about the movie is bad. It's shot in some unique locations unlike other spaghetti westerns, and occasionally the direction shows some flourish that livens things up temporarily. But the rest of the movie is a chore to sit through. It was obviously shot on the cheap, with little to no production values evident scene after scene. But what really makes the movie bad is that it's incredibly boring. There's almost no action, and the little action there is is not the least bit exciting. There are a few unintentional laughs here and there, like a character who swears to avenge his murdered mule, as well as a bad guy who looks remarkably like Elvis Presley in close-ups. But the few laughs there are in no way make this movie worth seeking out.
