Not a Mireille Darc vehicle
1 September 2012
Warning: Spoilers
'Fleur d'Oseille' ('fleur' is French for 'flower') is a gangster-crime movie. Although showing some light-hearted humor, its bottom line is made by gangs of though guys hunting after a hidden treasure. With shooting, death and violence all over.

In this respect 'Fleur d'Oseille' makes an entertaining watch. Nevertheless, director Georges Lautner clearly made an error by choosing Mireille Darc as his female lead.

An environment like this just isn't Mireille's trade. On top of that, she doesn't convince as a young mother. These disappointments in Darc's performance cannot be compensated by her fairly extensive nude appearance in a sunny garden, suggesting paradise.
