My initial rating while watching this movie was a 6. Here is a movie that stands as a Gerard Depardieu version of Kramer vs Kramer. Only this movie had a whole lot of nudity and sex, and given the fact that Ornella Muti is an incredibly beautiful actress, I didn't mind that. However, the film's climax hit me hard... hard as a rock. Why would a character go to such depths to retain child custody? Why would a character, who knows that women are his weakness, go back to the addiction? I guess, there's no answer to it. It was the film's cruel climax that lowered my rating to just a 1 on 10. There were several better ways to end the movie and this was the lamest, if said controversial. I don't think this is anywhere close to what a sane man would do in a situation like that.
