A little masterpiece
16 July 2012
Warning: Spoilers
What a masterpiece! It would be completely unfair from me to evaluate this movie with less than five stars. It is a real pity that the film is so little known. Hard to find any faults in here. Since the pivotal acting of Angela Bettis (which was awarded, but in my opinion it deserved at least to be nominated by the Academy), the movie really cares about every detail, from the soundtrack to the screenplay, which has no plot holes in no time . Jeremy Sisto and Anna Faris are also perfect, though in lesser roles, but crucial to the plot development. "May" will from the laughter of a typical romantic comedy to drama and horror, but in any time loses its tone and its logic. Thanks director Lucky McKee, who still gives us a beautiful scene that still tear the thin and fragile fabric of reason in the world of May. It's been a long time I have watched a movie like this.
