May i Kill U review
3 July 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Having been fortunate to be invited to the preview,i would first say that the film is even more engaging than the trailer and gets better the more you watch it. Hilarious in places and extremely clever in the mix of characters and story lines.

The idea of setting the whole film in context of modern technology and social media networking(IE hiding and communicating in plain view behind anonymous names and postings on Twitter etc)was genius. The use of technology wasn't a case of James Bond, super high tech gadgets, robots, androids and sci-fi, but instead regular technology used by the characters the way ordinary people do use social media now days as a matter of course.

That said this film will also appeal to a wider audience including those who are not social media savvy. The story line covers myriad political and moral scenarios and social settings(race gangs, last years London riots, domestic violence, immigrant people trafficking,, mental health issues etc).

The film also "speaks" to the rank and file junior Police people who are "just doing their job". It will resonate, humorously, with ordinary officers, people who joined the force simply to earn a living a serve the community.

May I Kill U is relevant, engaging, witty, cleverly written, graphic yet sensitive to its characters and scenarios. Highly recommended
