Miami Vice: Miami Squeeze (1989)
Season 5, Episode 11
7/10
One of season five's better episodes
5 May 2012
After a very up and down season four in terms of quality, the fifth season is back on track. Well, sorta. Mostly watchable to good episodes, albeit with Jan Hammer gone, so is most of the atmosphere that made Vice such a unique show in the first place. Which leaves us with a more "standard" cop show with some familiar faces, and occasionally good writing. This episode is one of the better ones of the season and it has a twisted plot involving a gang of youths ripping of an eccentric drug dealer, a congresswoman who will do what she has to do to save her wayward son and a Crockett in therapy. There is also the shooting of a major character which makes for some more tense hospital scenes (been a few of those lately it seems). I will not delve further into plot, let's just say this is one of the better episodes so far in a pretty average season and no MV fan should miss it.
