I will be generous... as a Daniel Bernhardt fan

Warning: Spoilers
OK, first of all, the general plot is not original at all, but not bad either, it has been used many times, but so does a lot of the plots of my favourite movies. Man even Bloodsport 2 was a copy of Bloodsport 1 mostly yet i enjoyed it as much, if not even more than the original. Here in this movie we got Stephan Bonnar as the lead character, from what i understand a true MMA fighter. Things is, his fighting skill where pretty good, but his acting was beyond awful... It seem like he readed a text constantly, i don't know, it didn't feel natural at all.

Then we have Daniel as the lead bad guy, i kind of liked his role as the big bad , maybe a bit forced too, but nothing comparing to the awful acting of the main good guy. At least he had a role of an eccentric, a psychopath and it seem a bit more into character.

Funny thing you get a bunch of familiar faces in the movie, like that guy from undisputed 3 that fought Boyka in the prison at the beginning, and even Oleg Taktarov do some kind of very unnecessary cameo in it. Even Marieh Delfino, she is not an A class actress, but i saw her before.

But even with all of these guys, the movie is mostly a VERY low budget try out if i can say. I am not really demanding when it comes to martial arts movie, i own a pretty big collection of the old kick boxing American flicks of the 90, from Lorenzo Lamas, passing by Don Wilson, Cynthia Rothrock and Mattias Hues, to of course Daniel himself. Yet i founded that movie to be way too much low budget, they try hard but they fail sadly. All the acting is pretty much a mess, and if the story being well done could had been correct, it was badly executed.

Only thing left are the fight scenes, and they are probably the only redeeming quality, they are not spectacular, but seem real, and are enjoyable.

Little Spoiler Part

Well at least the movie show a fight between Daniel and Stephan, and altought its short, and Daniel's Character get totally outclassed for story, at least we can see Daniel in action. He may be not as young as before, but i think he could still own his ground for a lead role in a Martial Arts movie.
