Too bad that Nickelodeon doesn't have anymore the excellent cartoons that it used to air, like "The Ren & Stimpy Show", "Angry Beavers", "Invader Zim", or this one, replacing all of them with horrible shows as "Jimmy Neutron", "El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera", "Fanboy and Chum Chum" or "Planet Sheen" (Which is, in my humble opinion, one of the worst programs ever made) Anyway, "Rocko's Modern Life" was, and it always will be one of my favorite cartoons from all times, mostly because it was incredibly funny watch, with absurd (and hilarious) situations, interesting characters, excellent stories, and lots, lots of memorable gags, that still made laugh every single time I remember them.
From all those cartoons that tried to imitate the style of "The Ren & Stimpy Show", "Rocko" was easily the best of them, being one of the very few that found its own style, and that also was able to combine intelligent, sophisticated humor with the elements of scatological comedy that made famous "The Ren & Stimpy Show" in first place. (And just to point it out, "The Ren & Stimpy Show" had good stories and sophisticated humor, but sadly, what most of the people seem to remember are the grotesque aspects of that cartoon, instead of the comedy brilliance of most showed on it.) "Rocko's Modern Life" is great series, and still today, it remains as one of the best Nicktoons ever made.
