Watch it for the freshness, the innocence and for Mumbai..
10 July 2011
The movie breathes life into the Indian Cinema which desperately needs to get rid of stereotypical movies made just for the moolah. Shor… is about the noise in the ever busy life of different individuals trying to find a purpose and depicts the character of Mumbai through the them. The threesome of Tusshar, Nikhil and Pitobash form the central core of the film. Tusshar Kapoor has given one of his fine performances in the role of Tilak, who is lives in the company of mad, murky people and is trying to do a genuine business of printing fake books. Senthil Ramamurthy plays a foreign returned guy trying to setup a business and how he has to cope with threats from the mafia for protection money. Senthil Ramamurty has left his mark on Bollywood with his fine performance . There are interesting scenes of these three friends blowing bombs acquired by chance in open fields, a bank robbery, lurking romances which all culminates with a Ganesh Visarjan scene where people do the right thing in the end. Well we have seen this all you would think, but admirable here is the nuanced direction and some strong acting performances. The movie has enthralling songs as Saibo, Karma is a bitch which instantly grab you. Watch it for the freshness, the innocence and for Mumbai..
