The Andy Griffith Show: Goodbye, Dolly (1967)

Goodbye, Dolly
24 March 2011
I rate this episode a "10" just for the sake of "Dolly"-the horse. The horse that appeared in 'Goodbye, Dolly' (3/6/1967) shortly appeared one month later in the 'Star Trek' episode 'City On the Edge of Forever' (4/6/1967) with the same cart from 'The Andy Griffith Show.' 'Star Trek's' "City" had exterior scenes filmed on the Forty Acres back lot-where Dolly previously appeared on TAGS. Dolly resurfaced one season later in the 'Gomer Pyle USMC' episode 'Goodbye, Dolly' (2/23/1968). She worked both in the confines of Desilu and outside at Forty Acres. So, one must deduce that it was brought in a horse trailer three times to Forty Acres. Most actors rode on the bus or drove themselves. That horse needs its own page on IMDb!
