I wish I had read the reviews here before attempting to watch this.
This is another in a recent wave of "torture-porn" movies following the likes of Hostel, which was well done. This one wasn't. The first couple minutes show promise and then it's all down hill. It becomes a chore to watch and after a while, it's so poorly done it's impossible to get through without a fast forward button.
The "torture" is not very well done here and the actor (who is the brother of Neve Campbell, the Don Swayze to her Patrick) is really terrible at conveying pain (or reciting dialog for that matter). If the whole attraction of your movie is "torture porn" you better get actors who are believable in the torture and this actor was not. In fact the woman doing the torture wasn't real good either but that could have been the material she had to work with. The rest of the cast are clearly amateurs, there wasn't an actual actor in the bunch. And if your movie is about torture and the torture itself is amateurish, what do you have then? It's like doing a movie about the old west but having your actors just point their fingers and go "bang." It's unbelievably poorly written, which is sad when there are people who will give movies like this a chance. I honestly don't know how it ended because I gave up after an hour, it was boring as hell and that was the real torture. So referring to this movie as "torture porn" has a whole new meaning.
