This one is a bit schizophrenic. We have two main plots, one built around Dawson and Jen, the other one around Joey and Pacey. When there is a switch from one plot to the other, it's like watching two completely different episodes mixed together. One delivers, the other does not. Guess which is which?

Here, Joshua Jackson exudes the charisma that makes him so cool in Fringe. Here, Katie Holmes, well... she's just too adorable for words and her versatility with facial expressions pretty much destroyed all competition on TV in 1998. And then there's the famous way Joey looks people - but that is *just* a bonus, brilliant though it is. Meanwhile, in the other plot, everything just fails to sparkle. So, this episode is half 9/10, half 5/10. While the rating for the episode as a whole cannot just be calculated as an average of those two ratings, this one actually *does* feel like a 7/10 as a whole.
