Darn clever...

This is one of my personal favorites--an early "Andy Griffith Show" episode that is high on comedy. It's about a couple families who have been feuding much like the famous Hatfield and McCoy feud. For generations, both families have hated each other and now there is a crisis--two of their young people are in love with each other and want to get married! Both fathers, naturally, threaten to shoot the pair, as they NEVER could consent to something like this! Andy is perplexed--he can't have people shooting each other. However, after researching the actual feud, he figures out a loophole--a way to get the pair married AND with their fathers' blessings. This culminates with a very funny scene involving Andy having both the fathers fight a duel--you just have to see it to believe it! Overall, this is an exceptionally written show from start to finish. Heartwarming, funny and extremely clever--you can't help but like this one!
