I heard many bad things about this show: That it was stupid,poorly animated pretentious and without sense at all, and yes, all that is true: Is stupid, poorly animated, possibly pretentious and without sense at all, but in some way it managed to keep my interest from the first chapter until the ending. The animation is extremely simplistic, the dialogue is cryptic and confusing, at first starts as a "random" comedy (Except that it wasn't funny) but it quickly turns into a weird sci-fi thriller, filled with strange plot twists and bizarre situations. And then it's when I started liking this show, because the mystery was bigger and bizarre while the series advances. I really love this series, but I'm sure that many people will hate this. I guess that is not a matter if someone "understand" the whole thing (I don't understand this show, and I love it) but only a matter of taste.
Think about this: Some people love the films from David Lynch and others loathe them. The same can be applied to this show: Some love it, others can't stand it. Personally I loved it.
