The Invisible (2007)
7/10
Redemption

Warning: Spoilers
This movie's message is basically redemption. A bad girl with a bad family life attacks an innocent guy believing the guy is the one who ratted her out about stealing jewellery from a store. The guy haunts all those that knows about his whereabouts following the attack, but only the girl is able to hear him. Much like in a way, a person's conscious nags one for doing something bad. The girl learns about her victim by snooping through his things and when she finds out that he was a scapegoat, she goes through much trouble to find out where his body was hidden and reveals the information through the authorities. The boy is saved from death. In the end, all the girl wanted was to do "one good thing" in her life. The boy, having been her personal poltergeist, sympathizes with his attacker until she meets her demise from a gunshot wound that she received in her attempts to find out where the boy's body was hidden. That's essentially a rough summary of the film.

I found this film to be a lot better than what I had originally anticipated and the ending was very poignant. I ended up sympathizing with the victim and the attacker as well as other characters, such as the victim's mother and his best friend. 7/10 stars.
