Worthy of a cinema release
14 June 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I had known about this film being in production since 2007, when it was originally supposed to come out. It has been several years in the making, and I ave been waiting for along time, but now, I finally have seen it........wow, it was sooo Worth the wait!

The opening sequence is chilling and epic, the first scenes are awesome and reminiscent of a rabid-zombie-chase scene, the way that we never actually find out what this scam that went badly wrong, actually is, is great and leaves it to the viewers' imagination. The later scenes, of the Eds wandering through deserts, fields, woods and areas they have never been to, such as the Gag-factory and the highway, bring a sense of epicness and mystery to the film. Several of the show's biggest secrets are revealed in the film, such as who it is that Nazz has a crush on (We never truly find out, but it is pretty obviously Kevin), who Eddy's brother looks like, but the matter of the mystery beneath Edd's hat still remains a mystery, which I think is a good thing. If they had revealed it, it would have been either completely ridiculous, or not live up to the hype. The final scene is the only thing I can find negative about it. The whole scene itself works well, but it all seems a bit rushed. In a matter of about 10-15 minutes, we meet Eddy's brother, find out he is a jerk, everyone stands up to him, beats him, we find out that everything Eddy told us about him was a lie, and the Eds being finally accepted. If the climax was about 30 minutes, it would have worked no problem. Curse the CN movie time limits! The humour is as brilliant as ever. The fan-girls get to see even more of Edd's dark side and see Eddy break down and dissolve into tears. Ed-fans get to see him up to his dopey mischief again. Oh, and Johnny fans get to see him and Plank back as Captain Melonhead and Splinter the Wonderwood!

All in all, I think this movie is worthy of a cinema release (Imagine seeing that car-chase scene on the big screen)! Or, at the very least, a DVD release. I hope that CN sees just how popular the movie is, and gives the fans what they want, a DVD release.
