Incredible Story Studio (1997–2002)

fluffy fun

I am utterly confused by the low rating of this series on IMDb. Surely the series should be judged on its own merits, as a television series for young people. On those terms, it is not only respectable but occasionally quite fun and even audacious in its reliance on young storytellers.

I have two bargain DVD collections of episodes. The one committed to stories of "sibling rivalry" is the better, with one story about a prince turned to Limburger cheese by a witch (a young Elvis impersonator helps try to break the spell), and another about an attempt to save the Prime Minister of Canada from a mad scientist by two young heroes who send themselves by post to Canada's capitol, only to get lost along the way (sent to O-maha instead of O-ttawa). Absolutely silly, fluffy fun, this series makes me wish I were 14 again!

Every episode is introduced by a young aspiring Hollywood mogul and her schlepper assistant. Not a great work of art, but I found it entertaining as heck. my nieces liked it, too. What's the matter with people voting here, have they lost all sense of fun? Would have been a '9' for its genre, but I'll give it 10 to balance all the spoil-sports here.
