If the film industry forces another cookie cutter studio film down my throat, I'm going to scream! Another "Rush Hour 10" is simply not going to cut it. Yonkers Joe is the antidote for the hackneyed studio film. It is an entertaining picture that doesn't presume to insult the viewer's intelligence. At Tribeca, Writer/Director Robert Celestino was quoted as saying, "People will forgive you for making them think, but they'll never forgive you for boring them." Suffice it to say that Celestino is a man of his word! I thought that all of the acting was first rate (I especially enjoyed Christime Lahti's performance). Thank you for having the audacity to make a movie worth watching!
