I noticed that 100 people have rated this an average of "4 out of 10," but only people ranking it 6 or better have taken the time to comment. The reason I penciled in a "4" PRIOR to clicking on IMDb is that ALL of the sizzle in this flick is crammed into the first 30 minutes. Perhaps the European version of Nielsen just ranks the opening half hour of TV shows. At any rate, since the beginning of this four-hour rodent fest (avoid 2001's part I, REVENGE OF THE RATS, on U.S. DVD) has an American rating of PG-13, it's safe to say you can save yourself 210 minutes of tedium by watching just the first third of part II (aka SCRATCH). That will keep your brain from working overtime to entertain itself the rest of your viewing time with such questions as, "Why don't the rat sound effects even vaguely resemble scratching noises?"
