Oft told mystery is shortened and turned into a musical comedy that short changes the mystery

Warning: Spoilers
Classic and often remade tale of a sealed room in an old mansion where a mysterious murder was committed years before has been turned into a musical comedy. Its not bad, but does the world really need radically shortened version of the tale that removes suspects and adds characters, primarily a trio of women who are Andrews Sisters wannabes, who sing four songs in a 60 minute movie, (not to mention a comical ghost that shows up from time to time). To be fair the ladies aren't bad but the films story swings wildly from comedy to mystery with the result that its solution and all notion of suspense are lost of the hidden passages in the mansion. Its enjoyable for what it is but its awfully disposable and the sort of thing that you'll forget almost instantly (except if you've seen any of the other, better versions, in which case you'll compare the changes.)
