Palla di neve (1995)
6/10
Not the best option, but a different movie to spend the Sunday evening!

I bought it for two reasons, one by my daughter and one by me. Firstly because it's a story for kids as it's a traditional family movie; secondly cause there's Monica Bellucci on it! I use to say that a movie under 7/10 isn't a nice attempt, but in this case it worth's the €4 I've spend.

The filming locations are very nice, a perfect portrait of the Mediterranean coast, and the characters are harmful, as the sympathetic Billy Bolla (Paolo Villaggio) and Sidik (Leo Gullotta).

The screenplay is weak but innocently funny, the plot doesn't work as it tries to and then the movie seems a little lost sometimes, but probably for the kids it doesn't matter and I believe that the target are under 12 years old. Nonetheless, there are many other movies with the same goal that are also attractive to the other ages...

The special effects are bad, not the worst I ever seen, but close to. The dolphin many times just moves the head slowly and shortly for both sides. For a movie made two years after "Free Willy" it could be better, as next year (1996) "Flipper" proved it.

One more time, the global is better than the group of individual characteristics...
