A Loving Act (2001)
1/10
Possibly the worst film I have ever seen. No joke.

Warning: Spoilers
This film is possibly the worst film I've ever seen( Including random student and amateur films) The acting is awful, beyond belief, especially from the detectives. The story is clichéd, patronising and an insult to anybody of intelligence. The police are painted as unreasonable 'bad people' who couldn't possibly fathom the idea that a man would want to kill his wife if she became severely disabled. 'Why did you do it', they keep asking as if there really is no possible motivation for the question at hand.

Euthanasia is a sensitive and personal topic but this movie wears a badge of supposed morality, seemingly viewing itself as some sort of altruistic moral tale but, in fact, is not even worthy of being shown to 7 year olds regarding the subject matter of euthanasia.

The editing is poor, the sound is OK (though has some awful sounds effects - i.e the car crash), the camera work is fairly sluggish though not awful but really it must be the directing that lets it down the most.

The director was obviously close to the subject matter but I severely hope they are never given the chance to make a film again as it would be a waste of time for everybody involved.

Not even Ed Wood could say something positive about this diabolical production.

The worst film ever.
