Warning: Spoilers
When Max allows a scientist he's guarding to be strangled while standing right next to him in an airport, the Chief takes 86 off the case and sends him to Canada for a vacation. Only Max doesn't go to Canada. Instead, he follows up on a clue to find the Choker and goes to Casablanca instead.

At a club called the Bent Parrot he finds a blonde who looks suspiciously like 99 singing in a club. He also is contacted by the Fat Man (Paul Frees dubbing the voice as Sidney Greenstreet) and Ugarte (Frees again, doing his Peter Lorre voice). Trying to fit in, Max slips into his Bogart voice for the first of three times in the series.

It's a terrific episode all around as the Bogart stuff works (you wish when Max arrives in Casablanca dressed for the Canadian wild he'd have said "I came to Casablanca for the snow.") Barbara Feldon does a great job singing two songs ("They'll Be Some Changes Made" and a French ditty) and the jokes are inspired. The Chief even gets a nice turn on one of Max's regular bits. Max protests going to Canada telling the Chief he'll have to make decisions and try to solve the case without the benefit of Max's knowledge and experience. The Chief stares at Max, takes a breath and says: "And...loving it!"
