My brother Paul & I were on this show. We taped show #4, and we were the first contestants to win everything. We also were part of the selection process for the host. We both hated Laurie, and wanted some other guy who was nicer but not as "smooth" as the host. I was bummed when we went to the taping and saw this host won the job. I was just a week younger than the cut-off age of 13 when we taped, so I felt dorky (I was in my awkward years anyway). But I actually wore pumps! We beat two other teams that were both much younger. Most of the prizes ended up being gift certificates, so we got to pick whatever we wanted. I won Bangles tickets, but couldn't go to the concert because my family was going on vacation that Summer. I am so embarrassed watching this show now! It was so cheesy. But there were real people in the audience. And actually, when the iso-chamber came down, it really did make us transport out of and into the chair. I hope no one really believes that! They just stopped taping, and we'd walk out. We were actually outside the studio door with a lady. It was definitely low budget! But we had fun, and won some cool stuff! If they bring it back, it would need major changes.
