Last Five Minutes Saves The Episode
5 September 2007
A janitor at a college university is doing his thing, cleaning up the rooms when one night he hears strange noises in the French language room. He doesn't find anything unusual. He looks at the chalk board with all the French written. When he gets home he can speak fluent French.

The next night, after cleaning several math and science rooms, and observing more written material on he boards, along with lab equipment, the man knows all kinds of equations and the like. He has no explanation for this strange behavior going on inside his brain, and his wife is alarmed. She recommends he see a psychiatrist soon, like tomorrow. He and his wife go, but the doc can't figure this out. It makes no sense.

So where does this lead us? To "Fred's" next stop, the next night: the library. In seconds, Fred is on the ground, screaming. Apparently, all those books feeding into his brain at once is just a little too much for anyone. Fred now is one-of-a-kind.

The last five minutes saves this episode, which was starting to bore me. However, even with the goofy ending, the last five minutes were very entertaining and does wrap things up, story-wise.

Note: Get this political correctness, even back in 1985: the college "psyche" professor, introducing Fred to his colleagues, calls him a "maintenance engineer." To repeat, Fred is the night janitor.)
