I think the show is done quite well, and does have its moments. Wriring could be better, but I think the cheezy acting and songs really make for a great show.
Also, the show is obviously targeted for the now 30 somethings generation, with references to Mad Max (I thought that was awesome) and Grease, which was also quite amazing.
And I think, in a sick sadistic kind of way, that it's good that shows like Arrested Development and Freaks and Geeks get canceled, it cuts them at their highest so that they can never fall and we can never be disappointed in them. As Yoda would say: "Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them, do not. Miss them, do not. Attachment leads to jealousy. The shadow of greed, that is." damn I'm geeky.
