One Six Right (2005)
8/10
A glorious tribute to General Aviation

Warning: Spoilers
One Six Right is a beautiful film that captures clearly the love of aviation. The types of aircraft, the pilots interviews, the beautiful musical score work together to show the viewer why people want to fly. The flying sequences are fantastic, the camera follows the aircraft with glorious clouds in the background and moves above the air craft to show golden Terra for ma below. I loved the guitar music, classical guitar with harmonic tones that were ethereal, and fit well the sense of flying. There are elements of this documentary that follow the standard form of interviews, history, demonstration, and cautioning the viewer to protect municipal air field from eradication in favor of urban sprawl. I am grateful to the filmmaker Terwilliger'interviewees for explaining the value of the Pilot Log Book. My brother and I are going over the log book our father left us with greater meaning for the two of us.
