OK, I know that most baby shows are completely stupid (barney, Dora, Diego, wonder pets, etc). This is an exception. Why? It gives proper facts. The puppet (Zaboo) is very well-made, and looks pretty real, unlike the sock puppets you see on other kiddy shows. I like how it also gives a good laugh. Monkeys throwing pies at the guys' faces, falling in mud and, of course, the little closet thing, if you know what I mean. Now, I'll compare it to its equivalent, Go Diego Go. First, Diego talks partially in Spanish. Even though I'm of Spanish descent, I'm against this because it confuses kids into thinking that they're the same language. Zoboomafoo is in 100% English, and kids learn interesting words like rodent, primate, etc. Diego conveniently ignores the diet of predators, and says that, for example, when a puma is stalking the target animal, say, a deer, then Diego says that Baby Deer is afraid of thew puma, instead of mentioning that pumas kill and eat deer. Zoboomafoo is aimed at a similar audience (4-7 year olds), but shows that predators are not mean, and that it's part of nature. One last thing: While Diego shows all animals, from anacondas to bears as harmless, helpless creatures, Zoboomafoo shows at the end of each episode that wild animals can be dangerous. Overall, this is one of the best shows for young kids.
