Spinal Tap for kids. Maybe a little questionable for the targeted age group.

Warning: Spoilers
The Naked Brothers Band is humorous and goofy, and isn't supposed to be at all serious.

People are getting bent out of shape for nothing. It's a pretend documentary about a pretend pop band of young kids, that play tame 60s type tunes. Some of the songs have a bit of a more edgier, 80s rock flavor, but even those are silly and nothing to get upset about.

The boys in the band, who apparently use their real names, supposedly range in age from about 6 to 10. Nat Wolff (band leader) and his younger brother Alex Wolff (drummer) are the main characters, and they state their ages as 9 and 6, respectively. According to their real dad Michael Wolff's IMDb page, Nat was born in 1994 and Alex in 1997, putting their ages presently at about 12 and 9. In some of the video footage they do look younger, so maybe they were 9 and 6 when they started some of the taping. The IMDb listing for the NBB movie says 2005 for the movie year and 2007 for the TV show, so, I don't exactly know what's going on with that. All I know is they're a bit older than they they state in the movie.

I mention this because some of the things the younger brother Alex says and does are fairly inappropriate. In fact, the other members are often telling him what he's saying is inappropriate (which is sort of funny). It's a lot easier 'accepting' his inappropriate actions knowing he's about 10 as opposed to just 6 years old.

Some of these inappropriate things make me the show may be inappropriate for the age level it's intended for (about age 6 to 12), but if you watch it with your kid, like you should, you can decide if it's time to turn it off.

My son's 7, and he thinks it's hilarious.
