WWE No Way Out (2003 TV Special)

Not bad for the final PPV before Wrestlemania
16 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This PPV wasn't really bad as it was the final PPV before Wrestlemania XIX. I mean 3 titles on the line & two huge rematches here, it sure is definitely going to be a good show.

FIRST MATCH- JEFF HARDY VS. CHRIS JERICHO Okay this match was alright, but why did it have to take so long, it took like I think about 15 minutes. Jericho wins after making Jeff Hardy tap out to the Walls Of Jericho. 5/10

SECOND MATCH- LANCE STORM & WILLIAM REGAL VS. ROB VAN DAM & KANE FOR THE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Believe it or not, this was really a good match tag team match. Lance Storm tries to get a sleeper hold on Kane but accidentally screws up his mask which Kane can't see because his mask was turned around. Kane accidentally Chokeslams his own partner RVD {Thinking it was either Lance or Regal}. Lance Storm & William Regal take Kane out & cover RVD for the 3 count to keep their World Tag Team titles. 5/10

THIRD MATCH- UNDERTAKER VS. BIG SHOW W/ PAUL HEYMAN Man, big man vs. big man matches are always boring, & this one wasn't a surprise. The only good highlight of the match is when Undetaker nails a big dive from the ring on A-Train {Who tried to interfere}. Then he finishes Big Show in the ring after making him tap out to a Triangle Choke. 3/10

FOURTH MATCH- MATT HARDY W/ SHANNON MOORE VS. BILLY KIDMAN FOR THE WWE CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Nice Cruiserweight match as there are no surprises here as Cruiserweight matches are just simply the best. Matt nails a Twist Of Fate from the top rope on Kidman for the 3 count & to become the new Cruiserweight Champion. 5/10

FIFTH MATCH- BROCK LESNAR & CHRIS BENOIT VS. KURT ANGLE, SHELTON BENJAMIN & CHARLIE HAAS IN A 2-3 HANDICAP TAG TEAM MATCH {It was supposed to be a 6-man tag team match, with Edge involved, but since he was knocked out backstage, it was a handicap match instead}. Cool handicap match, I don't think I've ever seen a great handicap tag team match like this one. Lesnar & Benoit get the win after Benoit made Benjamin tap out to the Crossface. 5/10

SIXTH MATCH- TRIPLE H W/ RIC FLAIR, BATISTA & RANDY ORTON VS. SCOTT STEINER FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Pretty boring match. Their first encounter at the Royal Rumble was better in my opinion. After Flair, Batista & Orton tried to interfere in the match, the distraction gave HHH great use as he nailed a Pedigree on Steiner for the win & to retain his World Heavyweight Championship. 3/10

SEVENTH MATCH- STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN VS. ERIC BISCHOFF It was just a squash, but I'll give the rating a bit more because it was great to see Stone Cold seriously bashing Eric Bischoff up. Stone Cold wins after what looks like a fourth Stunner on Bischoff for the win. 3/10

EIGHT MATCH- ROCK VS. Hollywood HULK HOGAN Even though their match was a bit slow & sloppy, their encounter at Wrestlemania X8 was I think a bit more better than this match. During the end of the match, suddenly all the lights in the arena go out. Later the lights go back on which shows that the referee is knocked down, then Vince McMahon comes & gives Rock a chair which he smashes on Hogan's head. The referee suddenly gets up {As though he wasn't really knocked down} & counts the 3 count for Rock as Rock has won the historical rematch between Hogan. After the match Vince McMahon taunts Hogan with his own moves as the PPV ends. 3/10

Wasn't really a bad PPV, but the upcoming Wrestlemania should be a blast & a classic.

Overall: I'll give it 6/10 & a D+
