Rita da Cascia (2004 TV Movie)
Story of an impressive saint
13 January 2007
The image of Vittoria Belvedere and his acting is beautiful pledge for the ambiguous beauty of Roman-Catholic saints.

A beautiful beyond words or miracles. A physical beauty, in many cases but, in essence, chain of nuances, from sweet face in tension of Blessed Elisabeth of the Trinity to severe resignation of Saint Theresia Benedikta of the Cross, from huge calm glance of Saint Gemma Galgani to mildness of Mother Teresa, from bread-face of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and Holy Face to the eyes of Blessed Maria Restituta Kafka beyond the execution.

Like any religious work, it is story about relation with God. Like every Italian religious film, it is story about personal relation with life who, grace of subtle signs, is base of God's love. And when the central character is a saint with a strong fame in Italy, Latin America,an incorruptible saint and spiritual mother of many families, witness of wonderful miracles and victim of hard times, ideal wife, mother and nun, it is enough for ignore the artistic value of movie in favor of his spiritual message.
