No scares, No ENDING
22 September 2006
Warning: Spoilers
After a very good start, this film devolved into a series of completely unrelated and pointless depictions of unexplained psychosis. Though often disturbing, is never frightening, and you'll probably spend more time scratching your head than being concerned about the protagonist.

Why do the "townsfolk" (if thats what you want to call the backwoods trappers) have the exact same senseless delusion as the innkeeper, thinking for no reason that the random male traveler is a woman who disappeared long ago? Is there something in the water? I could buy the hallucinations of a singe man, but not that his "enemies" would have the same one.

And the ending...well, there isn't one. It just stops in the middle of a POSSIBLE escape...I blurted outloud when it happened "I guess they ran out of money". Its a cop out. Don't try and tell me that they wanted to make the ending ambiguous-- pure and simple, it avoided all explanation for a full running time's worth of bizarre behavior, as well as any conclusion, and just ripped off the viewer.

There's nothing to take away from this experience. It's pointless. What a waste of good performances and a good setup.
