Judging by the IMDb ratings and reviews, I think I must be the only person who feels that 'Night of the Demons 3' is the best of the trilogy. That is not to say that I think it is a great filmjust the best of a bad bunch.
A group of teenagers wrongly believe that they have wasted a policeman in a Quicky Mart shootout and seek refuge at Hull House, the possessed property from the first two movies. They are killed one-by-one, returning from the dead as hideous demons. A recently retired policeman is searching for them, but will he find them before it is too late?
Unlike the first two films, this one is competently directed, fairly well acted and even foregoes most of the juvenile comedy of its predecessors to concentrate on creepy scenes and genuinely freaky moments. Director Jim Kaufman manages to deliver some pretty good action (the convenience store shootout is a well conceived set-piece) and occasional scares. The babe quality isn't quite up to that of the previous movies, and the gore quotient is slightly less, but this didn't seem to matter since the story rattled along at a fairly decent pace.
'Night of the Demons 3' won't win any awards for originality, but, accompanied by a few beers, it passes the time quite nicely.
