Review of The Omen

The Omen (2006)
4/10
Absolutely unnecessary
19 June 2006
While not a bad movie in itself, The Omen 666 has really no right to exist. Being a remake of the 70's classic, the movie does not add anything new to the myth. In fact, recreating a movie that relied on suspense and shock scene by scene is a really bad idea, just like that "faithful" Psycho remake they did a while ago. The actors walk through this more or less stony faced, with the exception of Mia Farrow whose mouth once twitches on the verge of a smile, and I have seen creepier children in kindergarten.

I feel sorry for a good team to have wasted resources on a project that was doomed to fail before it even started.
