I am watching the movie right now with my husband. It is suppose to be in Oakland, CA right? My husband yells out, "Is that Third Ward?" on the part when young Hammer is running from the church. I tell him I don't know because it was suppose to be in California. Then when they showed Hammer in the car with his daddy, we noticed they passed signs leading to 59 North/South freeway here in Houston. My thing if they are going to say the movie takes place in a certain city but they don't actually film on location at least try harder at making it look like the city. Crying shame. Now it just messes up everything while we are watching this because they was hardly any effort put towards this movie.
