Review of Playbus

Playbus (1988–1997)
Playdays as a child

Warning: Spoilers
As a small child I loved Playdays. It was a fun and educational show to watch after you return from school. I remember waiting for the animated bus rolling over the hills and the opening theme tune blaring out (well as much as a young child is allowed to blare music out). The most suspense filled moment was when, every show, the number one question was asked... "What's the sign of the lollipop?". I for one always hoped it would land on Rosie the Magical Merry go round with the song that Mr Jolly would sing..."Roll up and rise on Rosie, she'll take you around and around, roll up and ride on Rosie, the magical, musical merry-go-round". As for the characters, the puppets were my favourite - Peggy Patch, Poppy the cat and Why Bird - but, as every child from that era can confirm, I also had a soft-spot for Mr Jolly.
