Sorry spaghetti...
25 January 2006
I have this under the title YOU ARE CARRION AND I KILL YOU. The title is the best thing about it. This is an absolute bottom-of-the-barrel spaghetti western, probably only intended for rural Italian release, or in the most undemanding third-world countries. The only bright spot is Fernando Sancho as a prospector with an attachment to his mule. He talks to it, pets it, and is kind to it. Poorly made, the gray market version I have is watchable, but I wish I hadn't bothered. Case in point, there is a black-clad gunfighter that we only see from the waist down as he appears, talks, shoots, his face isn't shown. Very mysterious. Then, about half way through they start showing his face. He's just a middle-aged actor, nothing special. After about ten minutes they begin showing him from the waist down again. That's the quality here. Except for Sancho's performance (and he made hundreds of appearances in better spaghetti westerns) there is absolutely nothing here for anybody.
