The history of Alexander the Great
4 January 2006
Although it has been awhile since I have seen this mini-series which was originally shown on PBS in 1981, In Search of Alexander the Great is still by far the most complete and historically accurate portrayal of Alexander the Great that I have seen since in movies or in mini-series. I'm not commenting on documentaries, however. If you like your historically correct and well-acted movies or mini-series, I highly recommend In Search of... for the following reasons: it is historically accurate, very well acted; Nicholas Cage as the title character does an absolutely amazing job along with the rest of the cast which makes this mini-series one that will completely take you in where your disbelief will be suspended.
