Has anyone seen this? It came out sometime in the 1990s when it first FYI it's these Hamsters who are the Mains in this show - I know it doesn't sound like much from that description but it IS!! There are great stories which are sort of "People stuff" Mixed with "Hamster stuff" the hamsters have also been given Human ages (Most of them are supposed to be 15-16 except for a few one of thems a kid/baby and another is in his late 30's) Another aspect that made this show popular and controversial is that there are references to Michael Jackson (He FYI was a singer/dancer in the 80s) Most pacifically is a character "Hamtaro" is very similar in personality to Michael (There was an interview with some of the writers in 1995 saying that's what the writers where after maybe there fans of Wacko Jacko?) In a later year (2000 or after i'm not sure) Ham-Ham FINALLY made it to America but a lot of it was edited (The UK and JPN version are the same -'cept for the language) The story was dumbed down and certain scenes where cut and the hamsters "human ages" where never revealed their - All to hide the fact that a 30-ish hamster had taken to a 16 hamster.
In a similar manner the MJ stuff got removed because of Michael being in trouble with the police over false accusations - and it's still going on!!) The USA version isn't THAT bad but I prefer the version I grew up with. And it is still a brilliant show (It reminds me of Soaps but I dunno if it is one. And I'm practically "Addict".
