This film based on a true story is extremely well acted, but shows the story from a very one sided point of view.The film is sympathetic to Bently who was unlucky to be hung,but what about the policeman family how did their lives alter.The correct sentence would have been to wait two years and then hang Craig and Bently at the same time, its about time the pro execution people had a movie showing there point of view.The film is atmospheric, and Tom Courtney is excellent as the tragic father and Eccleston is very good as Bentley and it is indeed moving.I accept the hanging was wrong but only because Craig should have been hung as well.The UK would be a lot safer today if the death penaly was brought back, yes its brutal but it protects everyone.
