Dysfunctional Jewish family........Oy Vey! contains semi-spoiler

Warning: Spoilers
Saw this film in S.F. @ the World film festival. I thought Falk was great but the rest of the movie really just stinks...stereotypical Jewish Psychiatrist, totally screwed up, and his siblings, all strong characters, more like movie stars than real people. Awful casting. The unmarried career woman HAD to go straight, and fall in love with the handsome, younger black man, also Jewish (!?). It was meant to be shocking in some kind of clever way, but actually came off as pretentious, phony and trite. The script was really Hollywood. The director was so proud of how he tacked on a happy ending. How clever and innovative! The real treat, the only one in this film is the great actor, Peter Falk. See him in his element in "Wings of Desire", "A woman under the Influence" or "Murder, Inc".
