Popp Dich schlank! (2005 TV Movie)
5/10
An entertaining romantic comedy
20 June 2005
In this rather ludicrous but nevertheless entertaining tale, the multifarious humour allowed many changes of pace in the unfolding of the plot. The appearances of Dirk Bach, which were typical for this comedian, were not to my taste. However, he has many admirers, who would surely find these scenes very amusing.

Theresa Scholze's acting was perfect for the character she portrayed, a surprisingly complex portrayal for such a flippant comedy. She was backed up solidly by Jochen Schropp, who played his role somewhat more comically at times.

Although it is not a musical film, the music is another positive feature, particularly the rendering of a popular song during an evening out towards the end.

If sex were not such a central theme of the storyline, this could almost be family entertainment, because the pace, style and atmosphere are just right for children to watch with adults.
