Good Eats (1999–2012)
Sharp, witty, and funny
21 January 2005
I must admit I was one of the few people who was annoyed by this show the first time I saw it. The graphics and the title just irked me... but then one night at 3 A.M. I watched it from beginning to end and I fell in love with it. The episode was "The Dough Also Rises" with Ma Mae.

There's a certain level of sarcasm, cynicism, and humor that goes into every show, and that makes it not only a good show, but a fun show. Unlike other cooking shows, "Good Eats" doesn't only feature Alton, it features an array of other miscellaneous characters that range from W, to Alton's sister Marsha, and to his nephew Elton, to of all people Santa Claus.

I like that he's not that worried about garnishes and all that like a lot of others are. "Is it pretty? No, but it'll taste good."
