So bad, it makes it embarrassing being a Starship Troopers-Fan *Spoilers-well, who cares!*

Warning: Spoilers
Not since Highlander 2 has a sequel killed a great series before it even became one. And there where numerous bad examples but this is a new low.

It seems the studio hasn't even considered to involve members of the original cast or ask the great Paul Verhoeven to direct - probably 'cos he's so "controversial".

Ed Neumeier's script which places the story in a much smaller setting (probably considering a lower budget) isn't all that bad, but the few good ideas (a hero that is doomed awaiting a death sentence) are drowned in a sea of bad acting in which non of the characters gets introduced and if so you couldn't care less about their fate.

As the movie painfully drags along it becomes terrible certainty that they makers didn't understand what the original was about - a satire about fascism. They just mix tits and gore and hope everyone is happy.

Crappy Artwork (from the poster design to the trailer that dares to involve images from the original film) rounds up a movie that makes Ed Wood a legend (no really!).

Why does Hollywood always have to destroy Verhoeven's work - see RoboCop 3 or Sharon Stone whole "career"? I glad he's back now in Europe...
