I also saw this film at Roger Ebert's Overlooked Film Festival in Champaign, Illinois.
I was eager to see the documentary due to hearing so much about what an unusual individual Kubrick was. I walked away from the film with an appreciation for both the positive and darker sides of Kubrick, a renewed respect for his films that I have seen, as well as desire to see more of his films.
Perhaps if someone has been a longtime Kurbrick fan, there isn't much new in this film. I don't know. However, for myself who is still fairly new to Kurbrick's films, I found it the documentary fascinating and informative. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about this passionate director.
