This movie, aired on an off night of tv and came as a complete surprise to me. I am not one to search out these kind of movies or even watch them. But I couldn't help it. The scenes of Venice were a feast for the senses, and the story was a touching one without being too sappy, like most movies of this kind. The characters involved do not fit the mold of those typically involved in romantic films, they are actually intelligent people with substance.
